Jason Fried speaks at TEDx Midwest in 2010
CHICAGO–Jason Fried will join the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce on December 7, 2011 for an onstage interview and dialogue with audience members about work, life and how to maintain a balanced approach to success and daily business life.
“We understand the majority of job growth is coming from the start-up community and the Chamber is making it our mission to help foster entrepreneurship in the Chicago region,” said John DeRango, Director, Web and Social Media Marketing at the Chamber. “With this in mind, who better to learn from than Jason Fried, a model for success in the space? We are eager to hear Jason’s insights into the work-life dynamic and his innovative approach to success.”
Fried is the co-founder of 37 Signals, a Chicago-based company that builds web-based productivity applications. He’s also the co-author of a book entitled “Rework”, which has drawn high praise from the business community. He has spoken at a number of events, including TEDxMidwest, Chicago Creative Mornings, and Big Omaha. His innovative approach to work is very different from the traditional corporate office culture and focuses on creating more by doing less, a strategy he explains to his audiences.
