Accessing Global Markets: The Next Midmarket Business Frontier
Doing business nationally—even in North America—is no longer the path to industry leadership. Three senior executives of member companies at the Chicagoland Chamber came together at the Navistar offices in Lisle, IL on June 19 to present their efforts and results to date and discuss future strategies for expanding business in global markets.
Louis Milicich, Counsel, SNR Denton, International Group, moderated an expert panel consisting of Mark Stasell, VP/GM Diversified Operations, Truck Group at Navistar; Mike Zielinski, President & CEO, Royal Buying Group; and Robert Metz, Senior Vice President, Global Business Operations, Horizon Pharma, Inc, and Chief Compliance Office.
Numerous mid-market issues were covered, including navigating foreign regulatory issues, forming strategic partnerships, and evaluating the potential risks and opportunities of global business.
“The topic was extremely relevant, the panelists and moderator were well versed in the topic and extremely well prepared, the folks that attended were all superb, and the hard work the Chamber staff put in to prepare for the event was also apparent,” said Daniella T. Levitt, President of Ovation Global Strategies, LLC. “I look forward to more events like this in the future. It was a great investment of time and I would highly recommend to others that they should attend these events.”
The Chamber frequently holds forums and panel discussions where medium-sized companies can gain knowledge needed to address specific mid-market challenges. The Chamber works to help member companies address their specific mid-market challenges by connecting them, as a group, with important business resources, people and information.
