Vice President, U.S. Cellular

Chicago-based wireless carrier U.S. Cellular announced in September 2010 the promotion of Katherine “Kathy” L. Hust to vice president of sales for the Mid-Central Region. In this role, Hust oversees strategies on customer growth and retention, data expansion, associate sales performance and drive new company initiatives in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska and Wisconsin. She will also provide direction and support to approximately 2,800 U.S. Cellular associates in the region.

“Kathy brings a proven passion for customers and tremendous strategic leadership to some of our most successful markets,” said Nick Wright, senior vice president of sales for U.S. Cellular. “She will provide superb leadership as we continue to strengthen our sales, welcome new customers with innovative, industry-first programs and introduce new cutting-edge phones, including our latest Android-powered devices.”

Hust joined the company in 1997 as a district sales manager and has since held numerous management positions including regional sales manager, area sales manager, area retail manager and director of sales for California and southern Oregon. Most recently, she served as vice president of the Central Region where she was responsible for managing sales, finance, operations and engineering for U.S. Cellular's customers.

Hust, a Milwaukee native, resides in the area with her family.
