To keep our region moving forward, the Chicagoland Chamber pushes a proactive agenda at all levels of government.
That includes working with our elected officials, member companies and countless partner organizations to confront the economic challenges of our time.

You can learn more about the Chamber’s formal policy statement on bottom-line issues affecting business by reading the Chicagoland Business and Legislative Advocacy Agenda. Published annually, it provides the guiding framework of policies and proposals that the Chamber supports for the coming year -- a working document that reflects our priorities. The agenda is developed by Chamber members through our committees, is adopted by the Chamber’s Board of Directors, and is distributed to elected officials, community leaders and media as “the” unified voice of the Chicagoland business community.
Some of the issues that our agenda targets include:
- Maintaining a competitive and fair tax climate
- Creating an education system that produces a qualified workforce
- Improving our region's transportation infrastructure
- Balancing environmental and economic interests
- Promoting economic development in Illinois
- Improving the technology and entrepreneurial infrastructure
