Political Action

To keep our region economically competitive, it is important for the business community to have a voice in the electoral process at the city, county and state levels.

The Chicagoland Chamber’s Political Action Committee (PAC) works to elect candidates who support the Chamber’s mission and legislative program, initiatives and philosophy to promote a favorable business climate in the region. Through our member’s ongoing contributions, the PAC supports business-friendly candidates with a demonstrated record of promoting public policy that fosters economic development and job creation.

The Chamber PAC has a 21-member Board of Directors that screens candidates in select races for city, county and state offices, and supports selected candidates with endorsements and funding. PAC endorsements are communicated to Chamber members before each election.

The Chamber PAC is funded by voluntary contributions from our members. The funds are used to support business-friendly candidates to help pay for the cost of elections, in accordance with Illinois election law.
