From the President’s Desk: March Matchmaking Madness Is Back!
Dear Chamber Members and Friends:
The phrase “networking” has been watered down to the point it can mean almost anything. But not at the Chicagoland Chamber. The Chamber takes pride in creating platforms for business network-building that are predictable–seriously predictable. This is not to say you won’t meet new people, and a diverse array of them, at our business events. You will. And you’ll have fun while you’re at it. But the people you meet are certain to be serious in their intent to find new connections toward growth, and to help others thrive as well.
The Chamber has designed a month-long series of network-building opportunities around the concept of “intentional networking.” The idea is for us, and you, to be thoughtful about who can benefit from meeting one another. Then we make the introductions happen. In some cases, members get to choose who they meet. In others, the Chamber finds places where members have commonality and complementary qualities and helps point them out.
Our name for this series of events is March Matchmaking Madness. Our members had great success with it last year, so we put it together for a second year to create new opportunities for Chamber members at every membership investment level.
Beginning March 9 with a Blackhawks pre-game at the Bottom Lounge, March Matchmaking Madness will feature events all month. Among the others are a Premier Luncheon at Gibson’s, a “Business After Business” get-together on the floor of the Chicago Flower & Garden Show, and an international agribusiness luncheon at The Gage in collaboration with the Consulate General of Ireland.
Our “Intentional Networking” will be a part of each event. We hope you’ll join us this March to leverage the power of the Chamber’s unparalleled network.
