From the President’s Desk:

Emerging Leaders Chicago

Like the Chicago Cubs, Chamber members know that new, young talent is necessary to stay competitive in today’s market.  In our Chamber Member Survey, 79 percent indicated “access to talent” as an issue that directly impacts the growth and success of their business.

But attracting and retaining the right talent requires the continual cultivation and expansion of a skilled and diverse workforce. It’s critical that companies of all sizes help develop workers for the jobs of today and tomorrow.

How do you find these prospective young professionals and develop this promising talent?

Since 2011, Emerging Leaders Chicago has been bringing together the next generation of leaders in Chicagoland. Whether they are embarking on their professional journey, beginning to accelerate their career, or aspiring to grow their business as an entrepreneur, the Chamber’s Emerging Leaders is their forum to collaborate, grow and network with likeminded leaders in Chicago.

The mission of Emerging Leaders Chicago is to engage, develop, and retain top talent in the Chicagoland region by providing philanthropic, professional development, and networking opportunities to young professionals. Our goal is to create a community where young professionals are connected to people, business, and issues important to them – enabling members to become leaders, collaborators, and continually energized by new ideas.

Benefits of Emerging Leaders Chicago:

  • Develop peer-to-peer relationships with a diverse group of young professionals on both a personal and business level
  • Foster professional growth and skill development through exposure to community and business leaders
  • Connect with others to affect meaningful change and impact the future business landscape of the Chicagoland region

This is an exciting time for the Chamber’s young professionals, and I encourage your rising employees to become a part of Emerging Leaders Chicago. To learn more about joining, please contact the Director of Forums, Caitlin Stankus, at cstankus@chicagolandchamber.org.
